Kevin Durant’s 3-Word Message to Stephen Curry Rings Warriors Trade Alarm Bells

The Golden State Warriors took down the Cleveland Cavaliers in their last matchup. The Warriors squeezed out a victory, ending the game 106-101. And this game was a Stephen Curry show through and through. The Warriors superstar had such an amazing game that former teammate Kevin Durant couldn’t help but take notice of Curry’s performance.

After losing to the Warriors, the Cavaliers have now lost three games in a row. Their record stands at 8-4, tying them with the Atlanta Hawks for third place in the eastern conference. And with this win, the Warriors go up 5-7 for the season.

The Cavaliers controlled the momentum for the majority of the game. All their starters scored in double figures whereas the Warriors only had two of their starting players who scored double-digit points.
Stephen Curry took over late in the game
Stephen Curry finished the night with 40 points, 4 rebounds, and 5 assists, shooting 6-11 from three and 15-23 from the field. Curry certainly had an excellent game. Furthermore, he took over in the last minutes of the game. With over a minute left in the fourth quarter, Curry went on a scoring rampage. He scored the Warriors’ last 10 of 11 straight points for the team to seal the game and come out with a victory.
And who took notice of Curry’s game? None other than Brooklyn Nets star Kevin Durant. He had a three-word tweet that summed up the reaction of most fans. KD tweeted, “My goodness Stephen.”

Durant left the Warriors after winning two NBA championships with the team after the 2018-19 season. KD went on to join forces with Kyrie Irving in Brooklyn. While we can’t be sure whether Durant might be reminiscing about his time playing alongside Stephen Curry for the Golden State Warriors, many fans definitely did. Fans commented they would like to see KD back with the Warriors.

The Brooklyn Nets are struggling this season with a 5-7 start. The team was expected to perform at a much higher rate given the presence of three All-Stars on the team. Kyrie Irving has been surrounded by off-court drama and controversies.

Also, Ben Simmons is yet to perform at an All-Star level with the Nets. So far, Durant has been doing everything he can to help the Nets, but that is not enough. He will be hoping the situation regarding Irving will be sorted out soon.
