DORCHESTER COUNTY, S.C. (WCSC) – The Bomb Squad and the Dorchester County Sheriff’s Office are investigating a suspicious package at a Parker’s Kitchen convenience store on Dorchester Road and US 17-A.
There was a heavy police presence in the area early around 5:30 Friday.
Spokesman Rick Carson confirmed the package to be non-hazardous.
The road is not closed, but deputies are advising drivers to take an alternative route because of heavy traffic.
