The return leg of the CONCACAF Nations League semi-final is currently underway between USMNT and Jamaica. Already ahead narrowly on an aggregate score line, Mauricio Pochettino‘s side is again ahead within the half-hour mark at St. Louis, Missouri-based CITYPARK, courtesy of a brace from Christian Pulisic. However, it’s rather his first-goal celebration that is making rounds on the internet as he hits the Donald Trump dance!
The American boys managed to break the deadlock with a decent finish from their skipper, who after instantly scoring the goal in the 13th minute ran towards the corner to celebrate the goal in a unique way. Making a big leap, Pulisic flared his hands out and started shaking his hip and pumping his hands at his waist level. The AC Milan forward performed this dance for a few seconds until he was joined by his other teammates, who started hugging him and patting his back.
Notably, Pulisic is just one of the athletes who actually carried forward this trend for the second time this week. Most recently, during this Sunday’s UFC Heavyweight main event, renowned fighter Joe Jones also pulled a shimmy after he remarkably managed to knock out rival Stipe Miocic in the third round. In fact, the dance was performed by the 37-year-old American MMA fighter in front of Donald Trump, who was present at the Madison Square Garden.

Sunday also saw not one but five NFL stars hit the Trump boogie dance on the football pitch. Las Vegas Raiders’ tight end Brock Bowers did the same and was apparently inspired by Jones himself. “I saw it and thought it was cool,” Mr. Bowers told reporters as per the New York Times.
Interestingly, Christian Pulisic was the latest to have hit the iconic dance step while representing his nation’s red, blue, and white colors. Hence, it was only logical to see this moment break the internet among ardent USMNT fans.
Christian Pulisic divides the USMNT fans over his Donald Trump-inspired shimmy dance
The latest celebration pulled by Christian Pulisic has divided the American audience on X, formerly Twitter. While some are talking about it with all the positivity, others just seem to be frustrated and have rather turned against the former Borussia Dortmund man.
Of course, the negative reactions had to come up. Ever since Donald Trump won the recently held US Presidential elections, there has been a wave of criticism and neglect against him. But who would have thought that Christian Pulisic doing his dance would force a few broadcasters to actually not show the soccer star’s antics to the audience?
It had to be Alexi Lalas, didn’t it? A true Donald Trump supporter, who had been quite active in campaigning about the 78-year-old throughout the summer. No wonder after Lalas saw the USMNT skipper hit Trump’s shimmy dance, the iconic defender was left pumped up and even backed his former team to win the World Cup!
