Now a lot of people are worried about likes, followers – MS Dhoni
MS Dhoni, who made his international cricket debut in 2004, further said that a lot of cricketers nowadays are worried about the followers and likes on social media platforms, which should not be the case and the cricketers should only focus on doing well for the country. He stated:
“Because in today’s world, when I started playing cricket, when I started playing for India it was 2004, there was no Instagram, there was no Twitter, nothing. Now a lot of people are worried about likes, followers this that but that’s not the core subject. As cricketers, we are supposed to try our best to represent the country and do well. If we take care of that, the followers will take of themselves the likes will take care of itself. So you always need to differentiate.”
MS Dhoni, who is considered one of the greatest finishers and one of the sharpest cricketing minds, announced his retirement from international cricket on August 15, 2020. The legendary wicketkeeper-batter piled up 17266 runs in his enormously successful international cricket career at an impressive average of 44.96.
