Sony has announced that its InZone M3 gaming monitor has finally gone on sale in the US. It is going to be priced at $529, and is now available from Sony’s website. In addition to Amazon and Best Buy.
This comes months after Sony’s popular InZone M9 gaming monitor went on sale for $899, with a 120Hz refresh rate. The M3 is basically identical but it operates at a faster refresh rate of 240Hz, and has a 1080p display. That means if you do hook up your PlayStation 5 to this monitor, you’re not going to get the full resolution, it’ll be capped at 1080p.
It does support HDR10 and HLG for PCs, as well as DisplayHDR 400. So you’re going to get a really good picture here, with some great HDR.

While this is a pretty expensive FHD monitor, it does have some pretty great features included. Like G-Sync compatibility for PCs. As well as Auto Low Latency Mode (ALLM) for PCs, Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5. You also have the ability to connect multiple devices to it by using HDMI 2.1, DisplayPort or USB-C. The only downside is that USB-C only charges at 15W, similar to the InZone M9.
Keep in mind, similar the M9, the M3 also does not include any video cables. So you’ll need to supply your own HDMI, DisplayPort and USB-C cables here. The only cable it has, is a power cable.
It’s a good gaming monitor, but not the best
This is really Sony’s first foray into gaming monitors with the M9 and now the M3. They are pretty good options, but definitely not the best. However, since a lot of gaming monitors are well over $1,000, both of these options are quite good for the pricing. Of course, with the M3 having a 1080p display, it’s going to make it a bit tougher sell at $529. Since you can normally get 1440p monitors with these same features at that price point.
