With the new 2023 finally upon us, the battle for the title of “best smartphone of the year” has officially begun and we are off to a quick start – one of the first main contenders is already here. Yesterday, OnePlus officially launched its flagship smartphone for 2023, the OnePlus 11 , in China.Chinese smartphone releases are somewhat of a tricky subject, because you never know which devices are going to debut internationally and when. Luckily, we have official information from OnePlus itself concerning the international availability of the OnePlus 11.OnePlus has confirmed that the OnePlus 11 will launch internationally and will be hitting store shelves in the US as soon as February 7th, 2023. For reference, we already know that the Chinese tech giant will be holding an event in India on the same day.Hence, it seems that the latter will serve as the venue for the official announcement of the start of international general availability. The event will be streamed online so if you are interested in watching it, you can check out our official “How to watch” article . We expect the OnePlus Buds Pro 2 to debut alongside the OnePlus 11.It should be noted that the OnePlus 11 comes with a plethora of impressive specs. It features a revamped design, with a circular camera module which seems to be a focal point (pun intended) of the new smartphone. Most importantly, the OnePlus 11 is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, Qualcomm’s latest and greatest SoC.Despite the OnePlus 11 dropping the ‘Pro’ moniker, make no mistake – this is about as high-end of a smartphone as it gets. While we still have no information on how much the device will cost in the US, our best estimate would be a starting price tag of about $900.
