FOX News to release book discussing faith and medical healing

Bream, who previously wrote a FOX News Book, discusses how her chronic pain problems led her to prayer.
“I decided that my miracle might look a little different than I’d initially imagined. It came in the form of a wonderful physician who not only diagnosed me but also started me on the path to managing my condition and my pain in a way that gave me my life back,” Bream writes.
“I spent years in his care before he retired, and I often referred to him as my ‘answer to prayer’ when I walked into his office. No, my miracle wasn’t what I expected, but it was exactly what I needed. It deepened my faith, made me much more empathetic, and eventually brought me physical relief,” Bream says.
Baier’s story centers on his son, Paul, who was born in 2007 with several heart deformities. By age 16, Paul had undergone six open-heart surgeries and 10 more procedures to open his arteries. Baier’s wife, Amy, also shares her story in the book.
“I think God gave this to us because we can hopefully make a small dent or help a few people,” Baier’s wife says in the book. “And just this morning, I am helping someone at Children’s Hospital who has a sick kid who needs to get directed to the right doctor. This one has cancer.”
“So I feel like God gave this to us to motivate us so that in our small way we can shine a spotlight for others, and not just for congenital heart disease, but other people hurting,” she says.
Siegel explained why he chose to blend his personal experience in modern medicine with his personal faith.
“My hope in The Miracles Among Us is to remind readers that God’s love has the capacity to surprise us even in our darkest moments. While doctors can see scientific explanations in almost everything, there are moments when faith overcomes all odds,” Siegel said.

“Miracles are often an accumulation of unexpected events, driven by faith and medicine and also seeming coincidence, as God brings us the miracles he chooses,” Siegel added.
FOX News Books, which launched in 2020, has sold 3.5 million copies to date. The Miracles Among Us will be the publisher’s 17th release and will be available on Nov. 18.
