Kansas State football transfer portal tracker, latest news

MANHATTAN — It’s that time of year again.
The transfer portal opened on Friday, Jan. 2, and will remain open through the 16th. Kansas State football will see plenty of movement over the next few weeks in the aftermath of Chris Klieman’s retirement and the hiring of former K-State legendary quarterback and Texas A&M offensive coordinator Collin Klein.
Welcome to another edition of the transfer portal tracker, in which we’ll update this page with the latest roster movement during what has already been a wild offseason for the Wildcats.
Here are the Kansas State football players who intend to leave Manhattan and play elsewhere. We will also update with additions as they come.

Kansas State football transfer portal losses
Austin Romaine, LB
Romaine announced on Dec. 22 that he would enter the transfer portal. Romaine had 162 total tackles over the last two seasons, including 66 this past injury-shortened season. The Hillsboro, Missouri, native was voted to the Big 12’s second team in 2024 and 2025, while also earning All-Big 12 Defensive Freshman of the Year honorable mention in 2023.
Dylan Edwards, RB
Edwards’ injury and absence were a storyline throughout most of the season, until he announced his intention to redshirt and enter the transfer portal in early November. The Wildcats would have benefited from having their explosive running back on the field, but it was clear the two sides needed to part ways.
Jayce Brown WR
ESPN reported on Dec. 16 that Brown would transfer, leaving the Wildcats after leading the team in receiving in 2025. Brown was Avery Johnson’s most reliable target throughout an injury-heavy 2025 season to the Wildcats’ wide receiver group.
Tobi Osunsanmi, DE
Osunsanmi announced on Dec. 19 that he’ll enter the transfer portal. He finished second on the team in sacks in 2025 despite missing half the season with an injury.
Devin Vass, OL
Vass started the Wildcats’ final seven games as their right guard and improved over the course of the season, particularly as a pass-blocker, according to Pro Football Focus. His departure leaves K-State with only one returner who saw regular time on its starting offensive line.
Malcolm Alcorn-Crowder, DT
Alcorn-Crowder played in just two games in 2024 but became a starter this past season. Alcorn-Crowder made 17 total tackles with 3.5 for a loss and 1.5 sacks. He hurried the quarterback 15 times and was graded by Pro Football Focus as the Wildcats’ best defensive lineman.
Chiddi Obiazor, EDGE
Obiazor will enter the portal, according to 247Sports. Obiazor was a bright spot on the Wildcats’ defense, leading the Wildcats with 19 quarterback hurries and 30 total pressures as a sophomore.
Ryan Davis, DE
Davis was unable to live up to his preseason hype in 2025 due to injuries that hampered him before the Wildcats’ Week 0 game against Iowa State. He appeared in nine games, totaling 351 snaps, and recorded four sacks and 10 pressures.
JB Price, RB
On Nov. 30, On3 reported that Price would enter the transfer portal. He finished the 2025 season with nine carries and 18 yards, with his only extended action coming on Sept. 12 at Arizona, in which he ran the ball seven times for 16 yards. The in-state prospect redshirted in 2024 and was considered the 11th-best all-purpose back in the nation out of high school.
Qua Moss, S
CBS Sports reported on Dec. 4 that Moss would enter the portal. He became the first player to enter the portal after Chris Klieman announced his retirement. Moss started at safety for the Wildcats in 2025 after transferring from FCS West Georgia. He made 41 tackles and had two interceptions.
Moss teased in a social media post on Dec. 28 that he could return to Manhattan, though the return has not yet been confirmed.
Daniel Cobbs, S
Cobbs announced on Dec. 26 that he would enter the transfer portal. He had his best season, intercepting three passes and making a career-high 39 tackles.
Amarion Fortenberry, CB
ESPN’s Max Olson reported on Dec. 4 that Fortenberry would enter the portal. He started at corner in the Wildcats’ final three games of the regular season.
Colby McCalister, S
On Dec. 12, On3’s Pete Nakos reported that McCalister would enter the transfer portal. McCalister missed the 2025 season due to injury but appeared in every game for the Wildcats in 2024 and made three starts.
Brayden Loftin, TE
Loftin announced his departure on Dec. 4 after four seasons with the Wildats. He will have one year of eligibility remaining. He played in all 12 games this season, 10 in 2024 and nine in 2023, with one start. He caught 17 passes for 180 yards and two touchdowns across his career.
Andrew Metzger, TE
Metzger announced his intentions to enter the transfer portal on Dec. 4. He appeared in five games over three years for the Wildcats.
Teagan Cobb, P/K
Cobb announced on X on Dec. 1 that he would enter the transfer portal. He hadn’t appeared in a game for the Wildcats across three seasons.
Truman Griffith, EDGE
247Sports reported that Griffith entered the transfer portal on Dec. 2. He didn’t appear in a game for the Wildcats during his two seasons with the program.
Jemyri Davis, WR
Davis announced on Dec. 3 that he would enter the transfer portal. He appeared in four games this season for the Wildcats.
Jacques Spradley-Demps, WR
Spradley-Demps announced on Dec. 7 that he was entering the transfer portal. He played 12 snaps for the Wildcats across two seasons.
Callen Barta, WR
247Sports announced Barta’s intentions to enter the transfer portal on Dec. 8. He saw minimal action in his two years with the Wildcats.
