The Maryland Department of Transportation’s Maryland Transit Administration has announced that on Veterans Day, they will honor those who serve by offering free transit all day.
This marks the 7th year that the Maryland Transit Administration will honor those who served by offering free transit throughout the day on Tuesday, November 11.

“Veterans and service members are an important part of our community,” said Maryland Transit Administrator Holly Arnold. “Offering complimentary transit trips is one way we can show our appreciation and make it easier for them to get where they need to go on this special day.”
Those eligible for free transit must present one of their three IDs, which includes the U.S. Department of Defense-issued ID (Armed Forces/Uniformed Services/Military Retiree), the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs-issued ID, or the Maryland Motor Vehicle Administration Veteran designation on a driver’s license or state ID.
