Season’s Greetings from The Most Magical Place on Earth. It’s a very chilly morning here at Magic Kingdom. Bundle up, grab a hot cocoa and join us around the park.
Only one day until Christmas!
It’s chilly in Central Florida today, with a high of 44 degrees Fahrenheit. For the locals, that’s really cold! Beanies and gloves are ready for purchase at the Emporium. Product placement at its best.
We found two new Disney 100 items today. First, we saw this black windbreaker featuring Pluto, Minnie and Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, Goofy, Daisy Duck, and Chip and Dale.
Secondly, we found a new Disney 100 pillow. We didn’t think this pillow was made very well, as the tassels were already coming apart.
All Fab 50 Statues have holiday sayings and greetings when you use your MagicBand+ to interact with them.
Of course, we had to check up on our duck friends during this colder weather. They were all napping.
Since it was below freezing overnight, some attractions were experiencing delayed openings. We saw the PeopleMover, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, Splash Mountain, and Seven Dwarfs Mine Train all down this morning. They did open around 10:30 a.m.
Time to do some last-minute present shopping. At Star Traders, we found a new “Snow White” 85th Anniversary perfume. It wasn’t to our liking, but it might be to yours.
Perfect for the cold weather, we saw three new sweaters. First, a new “Soul” The Half Note Jazz Club cardigan.
Second, an “Oliver & Company” yellow taxi inspired cardigan.
Lastly, another piece to the Bambi collection. Flower is depicted on this green and white striped sweater.
Normally on Christmas Eve, the crowds at Magic Kingdom are wall to wall packed. Today, we saw the opposite. It could be because so many flights were canceled or delayed, or guests were avoiding the cold weather.
New Disney’s Animal Kingdom designs are on the maDe Kiosks in Big Top Souvenirs.
Princess Tiana has another Disney Designer Doll available at Sir Mickey’s. This Limited Edition doll has a 1920s vibe to it.
Still low crowds at 10:00 am.
A new ID tag station has been added to Plaza del sol Caribe. It is the exit shop for Pirates of the Caribbean, and it fits in nicely designed as a treasure chest. We found another newly themed ID tag station at Tower Hotel Gifts.
It’s too cold for Dole Whip today, and we think the guests agree. No line at Aloha Isle Refreshments.
Ah, that’s more like it. Hot Cocoa is for sale at various quick service locations. This is the “it’s cold in Florida” starter pack.
Around 11:30 a.m., the crowds started to get a little more prevalent, but Splash Mountain was a walk-on. Of course, we hopped aboard.
That’s all for us today. Thanks for joining us, and we’ll see ya real soon!
