To begin the 2025 NFL season, the Las Vegas Raiders have gone 2-4 through the first six weeks. It hasn’t been the start that the team was hoping for, but they aren’t out of the playoff hunt. Geno Smith also hasn’t played up to expectations.
After making the aggressive trade to acquire Smith from the Seattle Seahawks in the offseason, the Raiders were hoping that they would be able to finally close the book on their quarterback questions. That has not been the case.
Smith has had a turnover problem to begin his tenure in Las Vegas. He has completed 66.1 percent of his pass attempts for 1,350 yards, seven touchdowns, and 10 interceptions. At this point, he leads the NFL in interceptions.

ESPN’s Jordan Reid has released a new 2026 mock draft. In his mock draft, he has Las Vegas taking South Carolina quarterback LaNorris Sellers with the No. 9 overall pick.
