Ravens defense takes major hit with latest injury news

However, the fallout from that game could have been even more damaging with the latest news coming out of Baltimore.
Ravens’ Nnamdi Madubuike will miss rest of the season
Ravens defensive tackle Nnamdi Madubuike was placed on the injured reserve with a neck injury before Baltimore’s Week 4 matchup against the Chiefs. On Monday, head coach John Harbaugh announced Madubuike will miss the rest of the season with the injury.
In addition, All-Pro linebacker Roquan Smith suffered a Grade 2 hamstring strain on Sunday, which will force him to miss a few weeks, according to sources.
These bits of news do not include Marlon Humphrey, who did not play on Sunday due to a calf injury and will also miss a couple of weeks.
Not great news for a defense that ranks 31st in passing yards allowed per game (265.5), 27th in rushing yards allowed per game (141.3), 32nd in points allowed per game (33.3), 31st in yards allowed per game (406.8), and 30th in sacks (4).
It’s only been a quarter of the season, but Baltimore’s season seems to be hanging on a thread with the roster falling apart.
With Lamar Jackson’s status in doubt for Week 5, the Ravens could see their season dwindle with a loss to the Houston Texans.
