Wrestlers often get into a relationship considering they spend so much time with each other. It’s not hard to find many such examples of couples. But as with all intimate relationships, they can be hard to sustain. As such, a performer dubbed the LeBron James of professional wrestling recently endured a painful divorce.

The Undertaker’s marriage to Michelle McCool is one of the prime examples. The amount of time spent together by performers definitely has an impact on their choice. However, the recent news of the divorce between Tessa Blanchard and Daga is quite surprising. The couple provided this update via a joint statement on their respective social media accounts.

The NBA team’s owner Jeanie Buss once called Blanchard “The LeBron James of the wrestling industry” in an email. She is the daughter of WWE Hall of Famer Tully Blanchard. The second-generation wrestler has major accolades to her name during her time in Impact Wrestling. She created history by becoming the first woman to ever win the Impact World Championship. She currently competes in indie promotions.
Daga or Miguel Angel Olivo is a former AAA Latin American/Cruiserweight Champion. Their marriage took place in 2020, before their engagement the previous year. The announcement was shared on both of their Instagram accounts. It consisted of a plea from them, insisting fans respect their privacy.

Blanchard has long since been linked with a move to the WWE. However, the much-anticipated move did not materialize for reasons unknown. Not that the promotion is running low in terms of talent. Their women’s division boasts of veterans such as Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair. The latter of which returned to the last SmackDown of 2022 and made quick work of Ronda Rousey.
