Rising FC playoff game preview, Cactus League schedule released

Fall has arrived in Arizona and there’s plenty of sports activity. Phoenix Rising FC clinched a spot in the postseason. Meanwhile, college athletic seasons are well underway, including those at Arizona State and Grand Canyon.
Here are the news and events happening around Arizona sports:
Rising FC set for conference semifinal at FC Tulsa
Phoenix Rising FC continues its postseason on Saturday, Nov. 8, against FC Tulsa in Oklahoma, the fifth-seeded Rising trying to knock out the top team in the USL Western Conference regular season.
Rising FC got a 1-0 quarterfinal win at El Paso Locomotive FC last weekend, and has to go on the road once again for a semifinal match.
It’s the fourth matchup in 2025 across all competitions between Phoenix and Tulsa. The Rising knocked Tulsa out of the U.S. Open Cup tournament in April.
Rising FC has not allowed a goal in open play (regulation and stoppage time) in four consecutive matches.
