Thursday was an important day for the USMNT and American soccer fans. The team took on the Netherlands in the round of 16 game of the Qatar FIFA World Cup. It was at the back of the disappointing 2018 World Cup campaign, where the team didn’t qualify. The expectations were high from the Americans, but the team didn’t live up to them.

The team had support from not only the soccer fans but from other celebs, too. Everyone wished the team success. The US athletes from other sports were not behind and wanted the team to go through the quarter-finals, especially the way they performed against favorites, England. The AEW tag team champions hyped up the USMNT with a song during an event.

The song of The Acclaimed to hype up USMNT
‘The Acclaimed’, AEW’s World Tag Team Champions on Friday Rampage said they were going to offer a shot at the title to the second-best team in AEW. The tag team made its debut on 27th October 2020 in AEW. With the motivation from USMNT’s performance in the FIFA World Cup, the Acclaimed challenged other tag teams to a title fight. They wanted to keep winning in their tag team matches like the USMNT. The timing of the song is the point of discussion as everyone knows the result of USMNT vs the Netherlands.
The lyrics of the song that The Acclaimed sang are, “Acclaimed calling now any team that wants drama… We make them sing a song like they were Balenciaga… We got the tag division game, it worked up… can we stay winning like Americans in the World Cup?..”
Meanwhile, The FTR came out to accept the challenge. It will be a cracking match at the AEW Dynamite. Fans are excited about the match. AEW Dynamite will also see Samoa Joe defending the TNT title.
USMNT bows out of the FIFA World Cup
USMNT, after not qualifying for the FIFA World Cup 2018, made amendments by qualifying for the knockouts of this edition. US soccer fans were proud of the achievement as they made it through the tough group. As David Beckham has said, Americans take pride in their athletes’ performance, which motivates the athletes to achieve big.
USMNT took on the Netherlands at the Khalifa International Stadium with an eye on the quarter-final place. Although they started the game well, the Memphis Depay strike in the 10th minute gave the Netherlands lead. Daley Blind made it two in the injury time of the first half.

USMNT was the dominating team in the game, but they didn’t take the advantage of the possession. The chances came, but the USMNT didn’t take them. Haji Wright’s strike in the 71st minute gave the USMNT an opportunity to go all out for the equalizer. They kept pushing, but the Denzel Dumfries strike 10 minutes later took the game away.
USMNT was dominant in almost every statistic except the goals. They created more chances and had more shots on target along with the possession. The Netherlands presented them with many opportunities, but USMNT didn’t take them. USMNT will be proud of their performance against World No. 8 Netherlands.
