‘This Clown Did Have a Choice’- Novak Djokovic’s Latest Statement on USA Ban Angers Tennis Community as They Bash Him for His Stubborn Stance

Serbian tennis great Novak Djokovic will have a longer exile from the tournaments in the US. Djokovic has always been against the covid-19 vaccination and it has caused him a lot last year. While he was unable to defend his Australian Open title last year, he will get the opportunity this year.
While the Australian government lifted the travel restrictions, the US government has extended them. This means the 35-year-old will miss out on the Indian Wells and Miami Open. Here’s how the 21-time Grand Slam champion reacted to the news.

As the US government decided to extend the travel restrictions till the 10th of April, Djokovic is all set to miss two ATP 1000 tournaments. Indian Wells and Miami Open. Speaking about the same in an interview with Reuters sports, the 35-year-old said, “Look, if it is official, then it is. I mean, what can I do? Nothing, that’s it. You know my position. It is what it is.”
As the news broke out, fans came up with mixed reactions regarding the same. However, most of them were trolling the Serb.
Most of the fans are calling out Djokovic as already made the decision to not opt for the vaccine. Now that it is causing trouble for him, the 21-time Grand Slam champion can’t complain about the same. On the other hand, Djokovic didn’t exactly complain about it. In fact, he just gave his opinion on the developments.

Djokovic played in only two Grand Slam tournaments last year. This year he will for sure have three of them. However, Djokovic fans will be hopeful of late changes so that they can see him playing in the last Grand Slam of the year as well. The Serb currently stands at 21 Grand Slam titles.
