TV series coming out in July: what to see besides Stranger Things 4

LThe heatwave is upon us, but TV series don’t fear the heat. In July awaits the finale of Stranger Things 4 (ultimate battle of horror and death), Mel and Jack return in Virgin River, Westworld with Rachel Wood no longer as the android Dolores and Chirs Prattnot hunting for dinosaurs like in Jurassic Worldbut in charge of a team of Navy Seals.
Yet science fiction and horror with the series based on the video game Resident Evilwhile the four teenagers of Paper Girl they will travel to the future as Marty McFly. From news events, in which reality takes over, they arrive The Girl from Plainville with Elle Fanning and Black Bird with Taron Egerton. Instead fans of the period drama will not have to miss the second season of Sanditon.

Stranger Things 4 (Volume 2). From July 1st. Netflix
Last two episodes (long) for the fourth season of Stranger Things. We expect everything, even if it ends badly. Will it be carnage? The Duffer brothers up the ante: the series becomes more and more horror, dark and special effects are not spared.

Westworld. Season 4. From July 4th. Sky and Now
The dystopian adventures of Westworldthe acclaimed sci-fi drama signed Jonathan Nolan and labeled HBO extension. The season sees the return of Evan Rachel Wood no longer in shoes of the android Dolores, but in those of a new character. You will find out.
We are no longer in the park of the robotbut in the real world. There will be many twists and turns starting with Wood’s character herself. Will also return Ed Harris as The Boogeyman (although he is dead). Nolan said: “You will see a radical change.” Are we to believe him?
Black Bird. From 8 July. Apple TV+
When Jimmy Keene (Taron Egerton), high school football star and son of a decorated police officer, is sentenced to ten years in minimum security prison and is faced with a difficult choice: enter a maximum security prison for those with mental problems and become friends with the suspect serial killer Larry Hall (Paul Walter Hauser) or stay where it is to serve the entire sentence without the possibility of parole?

The Girl From Plainville. From July 10th. starzplay
It is a series inspired by true history of the unprecedented case of inciting suicide via text messages, told by Jesse Barron’s article of the same name published on Esquire. The Girl From Plainville talks about the relationship between Michelle Carter (Elle Fanning) and Conrad “Coco” Roy III (Colton Ryan) and the events leading up to the boyfriend’s death and conviction for manslaughter of the woman in 2017 for encouraging suicide via text messages and phone calls.
It’s also in the cast Chloe Sevignyin the role of Lynn Roy, mother of “CoCo”. The woman at the beginning is grappling with the guilt over the death of a childbut as the investigation progresses Michelle becomes the target of his wrath.
Resident Evil: The TV Series. From July 14th. Netflix
After the film saga with Milla Jovovich and the video game launched in 1996 comes the survival horror series Resident Evil. There are two timelines. In the first, the fourteen-year-old sisters Jade and Billie Wesker they move to New Raccoon City, an industrial city hiding dark secrets. As well as the father: the world is in check.
In the second we find ourselves in the future, about ten years later. Fewer than fifteen million people and over six billion monsters now live on Earth: people and animals infected by T virus Jade is 30 and trying to survive in this new world tormented by secrets of the past concerning her sister, her father and herself.

In the name of heaven. From July 27th. Disney+
The crime series, inspired by the homonymous best-selling book by Jon Krakauerfollows the events leading up to the murder of Brenda Wright Lafferty (Daisy Edgar-Jones) and her little girl in a Salt Lake Valley suburb.
We are in the 1984. Investigating the case is Detective Jeb Pyre (Andrew Garfield) who discovers shocking truths about the origins of the Mormon religion and the bond that binds it to the family Lafferty. Pyre is also a devout Mormon, but the investigation will question his own faith.
Virgin River. Season 4. From 20 July. Netflix
Despite not knowing if the father of her baby is Markher deceased husband, or Jack, Mel begins season four with a sense of optimism. For years she has wanted to be a mother and her dream is about to come true. While Jack continues to torment him the doubt of paternity. The arrival of a charming new doctor who wants to start a family will upset the balance.
Hope is still on the mend after the car accident and the psychological effects of the brain trauma will have a profound effect on her and Doc. Sanditon. Season 2. From 20 July. The TV series on Sky and Now
The intrigues of the inhabitants resume of the British town background of the period drama branded BBC and inspired by the unfinished novel of the same name by Jane Austen. A few months after his first surprising stay in the city, Charlotte Heywood (Rose Williams) returns to Sanditon, finding unexpected new company: a group of Army officers, who have descended on the city bringing with them both romantic and business opportunities.
Paper Girl. Prime Videos. July 29th
The protagonists of the series are four girls (Erin, Mac, Tiffany and KJ) who, while distributing the newspapers after the night of Halloween 1988they unwittingly find themselves drawn into a conflict between rival time-traveling factions that will change their lives forever.

Transport the girls to the future they will have to find a way back into their past, and this search will lead them to meet the adult versions of themselves. Does it remind you of anything? Their future is very different from how they imagined it. Just like Marty McFly in Back to the Future II. Paper Girl is based on graphic novels by Brian K. Vaughan.
