“When I Meet Cricketers, I Keep Telling Them, For Us Cricket Is The Most Important Thing” – MS Dhoni

Legendary India National Cricket Team captain and wicketkeeper-batter, MS Dhoni, has stated that whenever he meets cricketers he tells them that they need to take care of cricket as it is the most important thing and everything around it will take care of itself.
MS Dhoni is regarded as one of the greatest captains to ever step foot in the international arena. He is the only captain in the history of the game to win 3 different ICC events. Dhoni led India to victories in the 2007 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup, the 2011 ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup and the 2013 ICC Champions Trophy. Also, he led India to triumphs in the 2010 and 2016 Asia Cup.

Now a lot of people are worried about likes, followers – MS Dhoni
MS Dhoni, who made his international cricket debut in 2004, further said that a lot of cricketers nowadays are worried about the followers and likes on social media platforms, which should not be the case and the cricketers should only focus on doing well for the country. He stated:
“Because in today’s world, when I started playing cricket, when I started playing for India it was 2004, there was no Instagram, there was no Twitter, nothing. Now a lot of people are worried about likes, followers this that but that’s not the core subject. As cricketers, we are supposed to try our best to represent the country and do well. If we take care of that, the followers will take of themselves the likes will take care of itself. So you always need to differentiate.”
MS Dhoni, who is considered one of the greatest finishers and one of the sharpest cricketing minds, announced his retirement from international cricket on August 15, 2020. The legendary wicketkeeper-batter piled up 17266 runs in his enormously successful international cricket career at an impressive average of 44.96.
