Joe Buck’s Daughter Natalie Shares Personal Announcement

Just a few days before Joe Buck picks up the microphone for tonight’s meeting between the Chicago Bears and Washington Commanders, a film inspired by his father’s voice made its feature debut.
Soul on Fire tells the true story of nine-year-old John O’Leary who suffered burns on 95% of his body after playing with matches and gasoline in his family home. O’Leary miraculously survived, in part thanks to the voice of legendary broadcaster Jack Buck, the father of Joe Buck.
William H. Macy, who portrays Buck in the film, relayed the story in an interview with Fox News Digital. “When Jack Buck heard about this kid at that dinner party and went there and whispered in his ear, he was in an induced coma. And whispered in his ear with his familiar voice that that kid knew somewhere in his brain, ‘You’re going to live. You’re going to make it. I think, I don’t think of it as a miracle as much as that he instilled him with faith,” Macy said.
Buck’s father isn’t the family’s only connection to the film, though. His daughter Natalie revealed she earned a role in the new film, announcing the news on social media just last week.
“Soul on Fire in theatres everywhere October 10th,” she said in a message on her Instagram account. “I’m so honored to have been a part of this incredible story and I hope more movies are continued to be made in Saint Louis.”
Buck is set to play Nurse Colleen in the new film, but it’s hardly her first acting credit. She has seven acting credits to her name throughout her career thus far and earned a role on the highly successful Your Friends & Neighbors earlier this year.
Buck also appeared in two episodes of Blue Bloods and made her acting debut in Superstore where she played the final customer in a 2018 episode.
