The latest injury news on Lukas Van Ness, Javon Bullard and Zach Tom

GREEN BAY – It appears the Green Bay Packers avoided a major injury with Lukas Van Ness.
Packers coach Matt LaFleur said during his Oct. 13 news conference the defensive end suffered a foot injury, but it’s not serious.
Van Ness injured his foot when he had the team’s only sack against the Cincinnati Bengals and didn’t play the second half of the Oct. 12 game.
“We definitely avoided something serious, but how long he’ll be out remains to be seen.”
Van Ness has 11 total tackles (six solo) with 1.5 sacks to start the year.
“I think he’s playing pretty well. He’s been impactful, playing physical,” LaFleur said. “If he’s unable to go, it’s definitely going to be a loss.”
Here’s more injury news that LaFleur addressed during his news conference:
Javon Bullard avoids second concussion
LaFleur said Packers safety Javon Bullard is not in the concussion protocol.
He left the field early in the third quarter and went into the medical tent to be evaluated for a concussion. It happened on a play when Bullard blitzed and collided with Bengals running back Chase Brown.
LaFleur said Bullard went through the evaluation and passed.
Bullard sustained a concussion in Week 3 against the Browns, and LaFleur said it was a “major sense of relief” that Bullard avoided another one.
“He was great (Oct. 13),” LaFleur said. “He told me it was more of a stinger than anything else.”
Zach Tom goes the distance
Packers tackle Zach Tom made it through his first full game this season against the Bengals.
Tom has battled an oblique injury since Week 1 against the Lions. He missed Week 2 against the Commanders, exited Week 3 with the Browns after one snap and was ruled out against the Cowboys in Week 4.
He along with Aaron Banks played all 61 snaps on offense.
While Tom admitted he was sore after the game, LaFleur said he didn’t believe there were any setbacks.
