Auburn receives positive injury news on Thursday’s availability report

Auburn received a positive injury update on Thursday, as one of its key defensive players had his status upgraded on the SEC’s official availability report.
Elijah Melendez, who caught an interception in last week’s loss to Kentucky, was upgraded from questionable to probable. Interim head coach DJ Durkin didn’t give any specifics on the injury, but Melendez did not participate in Tuesday’s practice.
Kickoff specialist Connor Gibbs was also upgraded to probable after being ruled questionable on Wednesday’s report.
