Predicting Kyle Tucker Landing Spots After Latest Free Agency News

It is no secret that Chicago Cubs outfielder Kyle Tucker will be one of the most coveted free agents in the offseason.
It is also no secret that the chances of Tucker returning to Chicago are slim to none. That is, of course, in part to a post on X from Cubs insider Jesse Rogers saying that resigning Tucker in the offseason was never going to happen. With that news, Tucker will hit the free agent market for the first time in his career and here are some potential suitors.
Los Angeles Dodgers
In today’s world of free agency, it feels that Los Angeles should be considered the favorite to sign every big-name free agent. It is no exception with Tucker and with a failed signing of Michael Conforto this past offseason, the Dodgers might be looking to make another splash.
New York Yankees
Envision it now Yankees fans. An outfield with Tucker in left field, Cody Bellinger in center and Aaron Judge in right. That is quite likely a possibility, especially with New York more than likely losing Trent Grishman to free agency.
It’ll be pricy to bring in Tucker as well as re-sign Bellinger. But then again, we are talking about the Yankees, and they’ll have plenty of money available to do so.
Houston Astros
Wouldn’t a return to Houston be something? It’s not completely out of the question as Houston does not have a ton of big-time money on its payroll for next season.
If Jim Crane is able to flip Tucker for three solid players and then bring him back all within a year, he certainly would deserve some type of award.
San Francisco Giants
We’ve seen Buster Posey and Co. make big splashes, a la the trade for Rafael Devers and free agency addition of Willy Adames.
An offseason push for Tucker does not seem out of the question for the Giants, as they’ll need to continue to make moves to stay competitive in the National League West.
